Honduras Flag

A bit of History 

The flag of Honduras was established on February 16, 1866, with President Jose Maria Medina. It is based on that belonged to the United Provinces of Central America. It consists of three horizontal stripes of equal size, the turquoise blue and white outdoor plant.In the center, inside the white stripe are five blue stars symbolize the five countries that formed the ancient Central American federation and the ideal of the union of Central America. The blue stripes symbolize the Honduran sky, the generous ideals and brotherly love that unites them as justice, loyalty, brotherhood, strength, gentleness, courage, the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean along the coasts the east and west, respectively, as well as Central America. The white stripe symbolizes the goal should be directed to where the good deeds of national patriotism, purity, integrity, faith, obedience, peace, strength, vigilance, kindness and the nation.
